Practice groups are separated by ability. This allows the coaches to streamline need based coaching technique to the entire group.

Adjustments will be made after the first week of practice based on swim ability and group size. 

**Must have Coach approval to move up during the season**

Swimmers are encouraged to attend all practice sessions. This is the time where the coaches can provide direct guidance to the swimmers, as well as push each swimmer toward becoming stronger and more confident. 

Crocs-in-Training (CIT): This is a trial group for new swimmers who are needing aditional help to start their season. Swimmers will be placed in small groups to work on swimming. This is not the same as swim lessons.

Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool at our Time Trials Meet on May 1st. A refund of $100 will be given if the swimmer is unable to meet this requirement to join the team. 

Bronze: Novice swimmers Must be safe in the water, if unsure, please choose CIT.

Suggested for ages 4-9

Entrance Requirement:

• Safe in the water
• Able to swim the length of the pool. 

Focus is on stroke mechanics of freestyle and backstroke, streamlining, lane etiquette (circle swimming), and diving. Introduction of breaststroke and butterfly.

Silver: Experienced swimmers

Suguested for ages 9-12

Entrance Requirement:

• Legal 50 Freestyle
• Swim Team Experience

Focus is on stroke mechanics, technique, developing breast stroke and butterfly, underwater butterfly kicking, racing starts from the blocks.

Gold: Competent swimmers

Suguested for ages 11-14

Entrance Requirement:

• Legal in all 4 individual strokes (Free, Back, Breast & Fly) and the IM
• Racing starts from blocks

Focus is on stroke mechanics, technique, competitive starts, turns, and finishes and an introduction of basic interval training.

HIGH SCHOOL:
