Volunteer Policy
One of the essential things needed for the Swim Team's success is YOU!
Volunteering your time will make this a fun and exciting swim season.
Without our wonderful volunteers, we would be unable to run a great swimming program. Each family is required to volunteer. You will be asked to sign-up online for the volunteer positions you want to fill for each swim meet. Descriptions for some of the roles can be found under the ‘Volunteer Descriptions’ tab. Online volunteer sign-up occurs before each meet, and an announcement will be made when job sign-ups open.
Each family with a swimmer on the is required to volunteer during the season.
- 1 swimmer in 15-18 age group - 10 volunteer points
- 1 swimmer <15yrs old - 15 volunteer points
- 2+ swimmers - 20 volunteer points
- All families - 2 additional points at the Divisional Meet (June 14)
It is expected that if your family has a swimmer participating in a meet that you will volunteer to work at that meet (even if the minimum requirement has already been met). We cannot run a swim meet without volunteers. If roles are left unfilled, they will be assigned at the Board’s discretion. It will then be your responsibility to fill the role if you cannot work.
Families who do not fulfill their volunteer requirement will be charged $250 at the end of the season.
We can't do it without your help. Thanks for all that you do!
We recognize that some families have legitimate hardships, such as working on Saturdays, being single parents with younger children, having health limitations, or only your teenager will be coming to the meets. If you fall in this category, please email Heather Rodriguez as soon as possible at [email protected], and we will find ways for you to contribute your time to the team.
Many volunteer positions have two shifts. The 1st shift will work from about 8:15-10:15 AM, and the 2nd shift will work from about 10:15 AM - 12:15 PM, depending on how fast the meet is running.
